Your donation will fund one of the following projects to Ignite Hope in 2025:

• Light Up Our Chikondi Community Center with a Solar Power System: $10,000

  • Zambia is experiencing an all-time high for power cuts, 22 hours per day, every day. In our community, Ng’ombe Compound, homes can be without power all day for 3-4 days at a time. This means no electricity, no lights for safety at night, no refrigeration, no fans during hot season, no charging capabilities for cell phones, and so much more. This isn’t just a convenience issue, it’s a safety and sanitation issue.

  • By providing Solar Power at the Chikondi Community Center, all of our women will be able to come charge cell phones and use electric sewing machines. Beyond that, our facility and neighbors will experience increased safety with lights on all night long, as theft is also at an all-time high. Solar Power brings safety and security to our CiH families.

• Activate Strategic Growth of Women-Owned Micro Businesses: $8,000

  • We have 5 women awaiting funding for their Business Grants. This round takes business beyond tailoring, addressing a major need for food security.

  • The devastating drought from this year along with the economic impacts from power cuts makes for incredibly high food prices and shortages. Our women are learning urban vegetable farming to provide food to their families and communities while earning a valuable income.

  • When women are empowered, entire communities thrive. We are excited to see what our Women Entrepreneurs achieve through their businesses in 2025.

• Spark Change in Families and Communities through Entrepreneurship Training: $12,000

  • Our Entrepreneur Co-ops are the heart and soul of our programming. These small groups of CiH women meet regularly to encourage one another, solve current business challenges, and invest in a group savings model.

  • This next year we will continue facilitating training programs utilizing our proprietary Entrepreneurship Curriculum, both for our Clothed in Hope women and for partner organizations.

  • Sustainable community development is rooted in education, and we’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact of empowerment through entrepreneurship next year.
